Hello, sorry I can’t write French.
I want to produce a higher quality texture pack for Zero Time Dilemma to improve the character appearances. Unfortunately I don’t know how to extract or repackage Zero Escape’s CFSI file format. It looks like you’ve developed a tool which does this, may I use it? And can you provide basic instructions? I understand how to make batch files, use command lines, etc.
Thank you
15 août 2016 à 20 h 40 min #227Hello,
If you want to extract the game files, you can use Quickbms of Aluigi. But this tool allows only to extract. It can also repack but with this condition : « you can reinject the files only if they have a size equal or smaller than the original ones »
So it is a big problem if you want to increase the texture’s quality.
So this is my tool : http://teamzero.last-dreamer.fr/patch/ZTDTools.zip
The repack tool create the file 00000001.cfsi, don’t forget to rename it. The process is longer than my patch on the site because it repacks all files.
If you want more information on the file game, you can read this article on my blog (but it is in French) : http://blog.last-dreamer.fr/2016/08/03/team-zero/

Haven’t put it in the game yet to see how it looks, I’ll try that later today.

I will keep an eye on your work !16 août 2016 à 21 h 56 min #237When the textures are completed how would you suggest I distribute them? The game doesn’t seem to respect a loading order system where files in 00000001 are loaded preferentially over 00000000, unless I’m doing something wrong.
I wouldn’t want to redistribute the entire 00000000 file, both for copyright and file size reasons.
I see you included an automatic patcher system for your translations so only the modified files must be distributed, would this work for my purpose?
16 août 2016 à 22 h 03 min #238I may have found a bug but it’s probably not worth fixing if the contents of the 00000001 file won’t override the 00000000 file: if an unexpectedly small number of files/folders are present then repack will immediately crash. For example delete all folders from ‘event’ through ‘usound’ (alphabetically) and then run repack.
Like I said, a minor thing and probably not worth fixing.
16 août 2016 à 23 h 07 min #241For this tool, you need all file because the tool creates a new archive with files found in the folder « extract ». It doesn’t replace files on the original cfsi file. So if it misses any files, the game crash.
My patcher is different. It doesn’t replace files, it adds the new files at the end of the archive, and changes the address of the position of the new file. So at each patch apply, the archive size grows up because all files are kept.
I made for you a new tool here : http://teamzero.last-dreamer.fr/patch/softRepack.zip
It add in the 00000000.cfsi file only the files located in « gameFiles » folder. Be carefull, you need for each files, to keep the same path ! For exemple : « system/cinema/cinema_c_en.std.orb » -> « gameFiles/system/cinema/cinema_c_en.std.orb » and not « gameFiles/cinema_c_en.std.orb ». it is very important !
I didn’t test this tool, but I think it works. Say me if you have a problem.
